Frequently Asked Questions About Flood Barrier Systems
How are BIG BAGS USA® barriers different from other flood protection barriers?
BIG BAGS USA® flood barrier systems are proudly AMERICAN MADE and are FEMA APPROVED for Preparedness and Mitigation. Our barriers are lighter and easier to deploy than conventional flood barrier/protection products.
BIG BAGS USA® is a production and manufacturing company centrally located at Lake of the Ozarks in Camdenton, Missouri exclusively holding the patent for connecting one or more bulk BAGS. In the production facility, 5 of the bulk BAGS are connected and packaged to ship in bundles. Each bundle contains 7 systems equaling 105 LF. Two bundles can be stacked on one pallet for easier shipping.
Why use BIG BAGS USA® barriers instead of conventional sandbags?
Simply put our rapid deployment. One 5-connected bulk BAGS system is equal to 750 sandbags. It takes 2 people 10 minutes to deploy and fill one BIG BAGS USA® barrier with machinery. On average, it would take the same 2 people 32 hours to fill and stack the equivalent 750 sandbags.
